Sidewalks & Hydrants
While it is ultimately the responsibility of residents and business owners to clear snow from sidewalks, village crews will work on them as time allows. Clearing sidewalks makes safe paths for students and residents.
If there is a fire hydrant located on your property, please clear snow from around it. This ensures quick access in the case of a fire.
Fall Leaves
After the last brush pick up leaves may be raked to the edge of the road in rows and will be vacuumed up by the street department. Please make sure no brush, sticks, or trash is included in the rows. Biodegradable bags are not needed for fall leaves.
Snow Removal
During snow events, crews start clearing streets as early as possible. Ensuring vehicles and other equipment such as basketball hoops are not in the road helps ensure nothing is damaged.
