PSA: Parking Ordinance Enforcement Beginning
The Village of Berrien Springs is in the position of initiating the enforcement of parking violations in the Village.
This announcement is an opportunity to notify residents in advance of that enforcement taking place. This will allow residents to make parking adjustments and avoid being being issued a parking citation.
It is the hope of the Village to avoid the issuance of many of these citations going forward. The cooperation on the part of the Village residents in their adherence to the parking ordinance swill help immensely.
Please remember that the following are examples of parking violations that may result in a citation:
🚫 Parking on the tree lawn (the area between the roadway and sidewalk)
🚫 Parking on the front, rear, or side yard lawn
🚫 Blocking pedestrian travel on a Village sidewalk
🚫 Parking in areas that are not designated or improved for parking
Please note that this is not a complete list of all parking ordinances.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep our neighborhoods safe, accessible, and looking their best. Your attention to these regulations helps ensure our streets and sidewalks remain safe for all residents.
If you have any questions about the Village’s parking ordinances, please contact the Ordinance Office at (269) 473-6921.
Wolf’s Prairie Playground Slat Pick-Up
The Village will be offering public pick-up of slats from the former Wolf’s Prairie Playground. Pick-up will take place at the Village of Berrien Springs Streets Department Building, 540 N Bluff St, (312 East Washington Street works better if you are using Google Maps) on the following dates:
• Tuesday, July 28: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, August 1: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, August 4: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Please note that while we have made every effort to save as many of the original slats as possible, we cannot guarantee that every original slat is available. Over the past 25 years, some slats were damaged by storms, vandalism, or normal wear and deterioration and were replaced as needed. In addition, some original slats are still currently in use at the park.
We know these playground slats hold special memories for many families, and we encourage you to stop by during one of the scheduled pick-up times to see if yours is available.
Please help us spread the word by sharing this announcement with anyone who may be interested.
We are adding one more Wolf’s Prairie Playground Slat Pick-Up Day!🎉

Because of the overwhelming turnout, we’re offering one final pickup opportunity:
